Printed Bar Code Verification Service

Goal

Printed Bar Code Verification Service

Bar codes are intended to facilitate the capture of large quantities of information in an expedite manner and with minimum errors. To achieve this goal is fundamental for you to have an excellent printing quality so the scanner is able to read the bar code correctly from the first time.

This service is purported to certify the printing quality of a code. The opinion issued by GS1 Colombia is given based on parameters established by international acceptance standards.

Methodology

1. - Fill out the verification request form and submit to soporteverificaciones@gs1co.org

2. Once GS1 Colombia has received the form, a purchase order will be generated. Rate: $31.200 for each code to be verified

3. Submit via certified mail to GS1 Colombia, to the Department of Verifications:
  • Copy of the payment
  • Three (3) samples for consumer products. The samples must be in perfect condition and match the product displayed at the point of sale. Individual pre-printed samples or labels are not accepted without the corresponding product.
  • Five (5) samples for billing documents.

4. The verification is made in compliance with the GS1 General Specifications V9.

5. Time of response: 24 working hours. Results will be sent via certified mail in the form.

6. The client must pick up the products, at the latest, within eight (8) working days following the submission of results to the client. Unclaimed products will be discharged or donated to charities.
