Identification of Locations
This type of identification is widely used in e-commerce transactions for physical locations, such as distributions centers, warehouses, points of sale, among others or to identify the electronic mailbox of the company.
The code used to identify locations is called GLN, English acronym for Global Location Number.
You are granted the right to use this code by:
- - Becoming a member of GS1 Colombia. This membership allows you to have a corporate prefix you can manage internally to assign codes for products, locations and documents, as required. The capacity of the prefix given depends on the total number of references your company have. Go to members
- - Acquiring the right, one-by-one or by packages, to use the codes for 99 years. If you are going to acquire a right to use a code of any kind by the first time, we invite you to subscribe to the system, if you already did, you only need to acquire the right for the codes you intend to use in your products.
