GS1 standards offer a system for uniquely identifying any sort of document.
GS1 Colombia has worked with banking entities to define standards that allow them to make bank hall operations more efficient. As part of these initiatives, it developed together with Asobancaria the first international collections standard, which was integrated to the set of international GS1 standards. Today, the use of this application in Colombia is an international example, taking into account that a large number of public utilities, government entities and others, are intensive users of the solution.
The benefits have been immediate for users to the extent that they have quality collections information that allows them to manage their receivables in efficient fashion.
